#LASD #TBT #1962: Our Court Services Transportation Bureau (formerly known as Technical Services Transportation) is the unit of the Sheriff’s Department responsible for the transportation of inmates. On a daily basis, an average of 95 crews drive an impressive 9,200 miles and transport over 4,000 inmates. These professional driving teams are responsible for transporting inmates to over 30 different courts, situated throughout the 4,752 square miles of the Los Angeles County. 

Currently, CST has 82 operational Motor Coach Industry Prison Transport buses equipped with an engine which meets the stringent emissions output guidelines set by the Air Quality Management District. These environmentally friendly buses are used to transport inmates to and from court, custody facilities, state prisons, and state hospitals. Compromised of over 270 employees who work diligently to see that all inmates make their court appearances in a timely manner, CST is an integral part of this jurisdiction.
