Walnut Station foils burglary suspect with aid of multiple stations

Walnut area knock knock burglary suspects arrested with aid of ELA deputies, neighboring stations and agencies.

On June 11, Walnut Diamond Bar Station received an attempted burglary call in the 19800 block of Hidden Trail Place. Upon arrival deputies quickly alerted other units with a description of the vehicle (brown SUV Porsche with paper plates) and suspects. A nearby Aero unit was able to locate the vehicle westbound on the 60 freeway at speeds estimated to be as high as 90 mph. Aero informed @chp and East Los Angeles Station of the vehicles whereabouts. During the incident, the vehicle became inoperable southbound 710 freeway at Gage Avenue after colliding with a large delivery truck. The three occupants in the car ran from vehicle into a car repair shop in the 5400 block of Gage Avenue in Bell Gardens. A containment was established by East Los Angeles Sheriff's Stationdeputies using units from Compton Sheriff's StationLASD County Services Bureau and Bell Gardens Police. A search was conducted using resources from the LASD Special Weapons Team who were able to locate all three suspects. This fine example of police work shows the collaborative support and communication sometimes needed in high risk incidents. Kudos for the team work displayed and thank you to our partnering agencies. The incident is still under investigation by handling detectives. Job well done! Walnut Station has experienced a rash of burglaries in the area during the summer and are urging residents to be more vigilant and report suspicious activity.
