Santa Clarita Deputy Locates and Detains a Bank Robbery Suspect within 10 Minutes of the Crime

A Santa Clarita Station deputy responded to assist with locating a bank robbery suspect in Valencia today. His quick response and keen eye paid-off. He located and detained the suspect within 10 minutes of the crime.

The incident began when deputies responded to a robbery call, Thursday, July 5, 2018, at approximately 3:00 p.m., on the 27000 block of McBean Parkway, Valencia. The suspect, a male Black in his 20’s, entered a local bank, demanded money and left the bank with an undisclosed amount.

Within approximately 10 minutes of the crime, a Santa Clarita deputy was conducting a search of the area for the suspect and located a man matching the suspect’s description.  That man was detained and taken into custody.

What a great job by this deputy! He goes to work every day hoping to make a difference in the communities he serves.
