Century Sheriff's Station was formed in 1994 when Firestone Station merged with Lynwood Station. The station serves the unincorporated areas of Florence, Firestone, Walnut Park, Willowbrook, Rosewood, Athens Park and Lynwood. More than 200,000 residents live within the 13 square miles which are in the heart of South Los Angeles. Century Deputies are known for their expertise and proficiency in combating crime, as well as rapid response to tactical situations to crimes in progress. Year after year, Century deputies set a high standard in law enforcement for the apprehension of dangerous felons, seizure of firearms and narcotics, while supporting positive youth intervention programs. During the summer months of June to September the Board of Supervisor’s graciously provides increased funding to Century Station to combat spikes in criminal activity that usually occur.

With the funding a Summer Enforcement Team (SET) was formed to aid station units and develop strategies for crime reduction. Undoubtedly, members of the team have been proactive in their efforts to reduce crime having made a variety of arrests ranging from misdemeanors to more heinous felony crimes. The below pictures are a snapshot of some of the evidence they’ve confiscated from suspects. Truly, Century Station has continued their typical efforts of working hard to keep their communities safe.
