#LASD Narco Investigators are Continuing to Fight Against Illegal Cannibas Storefronts in the Communities We Serve

After changes to laws in California governing cannabis, a prolific number of illegal storefront cannabis dispensaries have opened throughout unincorporated areas of Los Angeles County.

Complaints from citizens and businesses alike, all of which were negatively impacted by the illicit operation of these storefronts, prompted a lengthy investigation. On Wednesday, September 12, 2018, Narcotics Bureau investigators served 13 search warrants across unincorporated areas of East Los Angeles. The operation resulted in the seizure of approximately 700lbs of cannabis products, including cannabis flower, cannabis concentrate, and edibles. Additionally, 22 people were arrested and 3 firearms were seized.

Anyone who believes an illegal cannabis dispensary is operating in your area is urged to contact your local law enforcement agency.
