There is pot of gold at the end of the rainbow! It’s not often that we send out follow on information about crime cases or highly profile information. However in this case on November 27, 2015 this almost tragic incident made national news with pictures of Deputy Collette cradling a near newborn he, Deputy Perry (now Sergeant Perry), and Detective Valenzuela found near a bike path near 136th Street and Slater Avenue in Compton. In Deputy Collette’s words “it was a miracle, I think a touch of God in that hand as well.”

We are happy to report a few weeks ago the child was formally adopted and the next week celebrated her third birthday. Through keep investigative work the mother who had abandoned her child was arrest in March 2016 and later sentenced to a lengthy prison term. As we head into the holiday season, remember we to can make miracles happen!
