Four Arrested

Lost Hills Patrol Deputies Keeping You Safe 24/7

Lost Hills/Malibu Sheriff’s Station (LHS) deputies were patrolling the area of 3400 N. Topanga Canyon Boulevard, which is known as “Top of Topanga Overlook,” on Monday January 28, 2019, at 5am when they saw a car at the location after the park had closed.

Deputies approached the vehicle and contacted the driver and passengers seated inside the vehicle. Speaking to the occupants, the deputies could smell the odor of marijuana and observed the two front passengers acting suspicious and trying to conceal something near the center console.

The deputies detained four occupants to conduct a narcotics investigation. During their investigation and search of the vehicle, deputies recovered a loaded firearm, weapons commonly used in robberies, and “MS” apparel which is a known logo for the criminal street gang, Mara Salvatrucha.

Using department resources, deputies confirmed the firearm was reported stolen. After a thorough investigation, all four suspects were arrested for several felony charges and warrants. Great job LHS!
