19th Annual ALADS Awards Banquet.

On Saturday evening, June 8, 2019, The Association for Los Angeles Deputy Sheriff (ALADS) recognized 48 personnel from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (#LASD), Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office, and Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) at the 19th Annual ALADS Awards Banquet.

These awards signify courage, acts of heroism while saving the life of another, preservation of human life, personal commitment and sacrifice to help others.

LASD Sheriff Villanueva, Los Angeles County Board Supervisors Kathryn Barger and Janice Hahn and Senator Anna Caballero attended this event.

“I want to say thank you for keeping LA County safe,” Barger said, “ Tonight we will recognize the individuals who have gone above and beyond …on any given day, we can go to each station and recognize all the deputies for the hard work they do.”

Sheriff Villanueva also thanked all who worked on the front line to serve the community. He said, the dedication we made will earn the trust from the public. The decisions we make is in the best interest of the public and to keep it safe.

Heroes help other heroes. ALADS also recognized LAPD Officer Estrada, who assisted endangered LASD deputies and saved their lives.

Every day, the men and women from the LASD perform their duties in a professional manner to serve the community, to protect life and property. With the community, we are a team. We back each other up, no one will be left behind.
